Shipping Policy
We strive for prompt shipping and all orders typically ship within 2-3 days of placement. Depending on the schedules for our very small team, it can ocassionally take up to one week for your order to ship.
We are meticulously careful when packing orders, using environmentally friendly packing and plenty of it! We know that our kava electuaries are packaged in glass and fragile, so we take extra care. Once an item has left our facility and is in the hands of the shipping carrier, we are no longer able to oversee its safety and therefore are not responsible for any damage that may occur in transit.
We strongly recommend purchasing ROUTE shipping protection at checkout, if you would like your package to be insured and reimbursed due to loss, theft, or damage. If you do not select this option at checkout, you will not be able to replace damaged or lost items.
All lost and damaged orders will be handled directly via route for reimbursement. File a claim with route here: https://claims.route.com/
If you do not select Route as an insurance option, you will have $50 of insurance automatically included via USPS through priority mail shipping. USPS policy states that you save your entire damaged package, including the box/envelope, packaging, broken item, etc and bring it to USPS upon request for inspection. If you get a damaged item and throw away anything before you make a claim, you will not be reimbursed by USPS, so save everything. If your package says delivered and is not with your mailbox, check with your postal worker and file a missing mail search with USPS to alert them that your package is missing.
Motherland Kava is not able to troubleshoot any issue with USPS insurance. The consumer is responsible for contacting USPS and filing a claim, which typically requires that you bring the damaged package and item into your local post office. Click here to file a claim with USPS.
If your package is returned or delivered to the wrong address because you entered the wrong address at checkout, you are responsible for paying a second shipping fee to re-send the order.
Returns & Refunds
We do not accept returns or exhanges for any of our electuary blends or kava products. We cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards. We will accept returns on non-food items such a t-shirts, stickers, and magnets if sent back to us at the customer's expense. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
Damages & Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please send an email to hello@motherlandkava.com with your order number in the subject line.
